MANJU BHARGAVA
PRESIDENT

MANJU BHARGAVA took over as President and CEO of RBA Engineers, Inc. in 2000. She has been overseeing office operations since 1980 and is familiar with both the accounting and technical sides of the business. She has a certificate in mechanical and electrical design-drafting from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Manju Bhargava is in charge of all management, project control and contracts for the firm. She routinely attends professional development seminars and handles marketing duties related to business development. She has managed the transitions of the firm from five employees up to forty based on varying workloads and assignments.

From 1976 to 1978, Manju Bhargava was employed by Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). Her work in the joint accounting department related to allocating costs between various Prudhoe By oilfield owners. She received training in computerized data entry, as well as interpretation of billing codes. Subsequently, she also worked in the accounting office of Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, mainly with payroll records for up to 700 employees. Thus, she has an understanding of business finances and management issues.

Upon arriving in Alaska, Manju Bhargava worked in the billing department of Alaska Sales & Service. Later on, she changed jobs with the Alaska Federation of Natives and worked under Janie Leask. Before coming to the United States, Mrs. Bhargava worked for Trackparts of India as a management trainee.

In the local community, Mrs. Bhargava has been active in civic affairs. Mayor Rick Mystrom appointed her to the Board of Directors for Bridge Builders of Alaska, 1995-2000. As President of the Asian Alaskan Cultural Center, she administered a $40,000 budget and fostered ethnic pride in Anchorage. In 1998, she was recognized as a Woman of Achievement by the YWCA of Anchorage, Alaska for her professional, business and volunteer efforts in the community. Manju Bhargava is passionate about ethnic issues and regularly organizes the citizenship oath-taking ceremonies for US Immigration & Naturalization Service.
